[REVIEW] Benton Tea Tree Cleansing Water

You thought it was just only one review for today but.. SIIKEEE! I’m back for another one!~ This product is the final product I have recieved from the StyleKorean Lucky Clover Box.

Ok guys, I am very serious when I say this is the first product that caught my eye in the box and it was also the very first product I tested out! Look how much I have used within a month! That’s quite a lot of product that was used! I barely make dents like that in products that fast because I’m constantly juggling through various other products. It gets overwhelming but I wanted a consistent routine so I used it quite often to get an idea how I feel about this cleansing water!

Product:
200ml – $18 USD
Available on StyleKorean

Claims:

  • Cleanses Impurities
  • Sebum Control
  • Calming & Hydrating

Revitalizes

What is tea tree oil used for?
Tea Tree oil is applied on the skin to treat acne and various infections.
Tea tree oil can reduce skin inflammation, allergic skin reactions and disinfecting the skin by killing bacteria and fungus.

Ingredients:
Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Water, Water, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil, Polyglyceryl-6 Caprylate, Polyglycerl-10 laurate, Sodium Chloride

My thoughts:

The product is very mild where it does not irritate or make my skin feel itchy after wiping it on my face with a cotton pad and does not strip my skin moisture while clearing out the excess dirt/makeup off my face however that being said it doesn’t do an amazing job removing my makeup residue. I really like tea tree scented products, it has such a pleasant scent to it! The moment you open the cap, you can smell the tea tree. It is suggested to use the product by soaking it in a cotton pad and placing it around your waterproof/colour based products and it will mildly cleanse, hydrate and refresh the skin. I found that it did a good job removing my lip products and eyeshadow + liner pretty well but it didn’t remove all of my waterproof mascara, which is kind of expected because the mascara is extremely heavy duty.

  • Texture: 5/5-thin watery consistency and spreads evenly throughout the face
  • Scent: 5/5 – LOOOOVE tea tree scented products
Price: 4/5 – Reasonable pricing and you get a lot of product for what you pay for.
  • Performance: 3/5 – Does a decent job, I still had a BIT makeup residue! *kiss me x heroine mascara
  • Packaging: 5/5 – Simple, gets to the point and easy to read

*Overall* – 4/5 – I will repurchase this because it doesn’t strip my skin or irritate it. My skin has it’s moments where it constantly changes in sensitivity. Luckily when I use this product, I don’t have to worry it making my face itchy once it dries up. My other cleansing waters tend to make me feel very itchy after I use it so I have to be extra careful with those.

Ok guys, that is all for tonight. I hope you all have a good night.
Take Care!

[ REVIEW] HYGGEE ALL-IN-ONE H2 SOAP

Hi friends!

I hope you all are enjoying your Wednesday! We’re already in half of the week, won’t be for long til we enjoy another relaxing weekend! I came on here today to share my thoughts on another StyleKorean lucky clover box product! ~
I have recieved from the StyleKorean Lucky Clover Box that was sent to me! This is the HYGEE All-In-One H2 Soap and it’s a facial cleanser in a soap bar form! I don’t know of many soap cleansers in the market other than the well known dove soap bar but I haven’t used that in yeaarrrs plus it was quite stripping on my skin. Can I just say that I am really liking the embossed logo design on the soap.

80g – $21.60 USD
Claims:

  • Tightens your skin
  • Is very sensitive and mild product
  • Improves skin tone

I was quite blown away with the ingredients because I can read majority of the ingredient names! Majority of my beauty products, I can hardly say that because most of the stuff I own has some sort of long chemical name.

The FULL Ingredients:

Coconut oil powder, silver, raisinseed oil, plumseed oil, avacado oil, armeniae oil, omijaseed extract, casterseed oil, glycerin, licorice, bamboo salt, (Cosam) Shurbby sophora, White lotus, goldthreat, codonopsisi, mung beans. pine incense and hydrogen gas

First thing I noticed when I removed it from the packaging was the scent to it. It has this very clean, fresh, linen scent to it. It also lathers very well! It actually lathers a lot better than the heimish green foam cleanser I got from the box. It did list that this is not suitable for removing makeup and only for secondary cleansing use, which is fine with because I don’t normally directly apply any sort of cleanser on my skin expecting it to remove all of my makeup. I always go in with an oil cleanser to ensure most of the product is off anyway.

As for brightening wise, I did notice my skin looking like a shade brighter and it was not stripping at all. I’m very concerned when cleansing products lather/ bubble up too much because those tend to be the most stripping on my skin. I also saw the ingredients has glycerin as one of their ingredients; glycerin is an excellent ingredient for beauty products because it helps combat skin dehydration!

Texture: 4/5 – Soft, foamy lather
Scent: 3/5 – Not a bad scent but can be a bit too strong for those who are sensitive to scents
Price: 2/5 – very expensive for a soap bar cleanser and it doesn’t seem hygenic in my opinion
Performance: 4/5 – brightens the skin and does not feel stripping or leave some strange residue behind!

Overall: 3/5 – Meh! personally would not repurchase this but it is nice for those who want to try new things and types of cleansers. It’s great for sensitive skin folks but the only downside is it’s in bar form. Unless you wash your hands thoroughly first, lather it on your hands and then apply on your face.

Cheers~
